If I ever replace a vehicle, then I always do it in the latest patchday, regardless of where the vehicle files are, because it has a better chance of working. Just make sure that patchday folder already has vehicles in it. So try adding the replace models in patchday20ng and see if that works. after copying it to your mods folder obviously.
